A Cry in the
Desert
God has heard the voice of
innocent blood calling to him from
the ground
The voices pierce his ears
with a deep, heart wrenching sound
His holiness weeps: “What
is this, that you have done?”
Have you forgotten “I AM“
said the Lord, or that I buried
my son?
Must I remind you again, that
on a cloud of glory He will come?
What is this, my beloved,
that you have done?
Because you have done this
- I must now send
Legions of men and angels
to a pillaged and ravaged land
Men line the horizon with
weapons etched against the setting
sun
Oh my beloved, what is this
you have done?
Prayers are now whispered
in turbulent sand
‘Lord keep us in the hollow
of Your Almighty hand’
God with his tender mercy
sent his heavenly angels to march
on ahead
They help us fight our
battles just as his precious Holy
word said
We give God the glory for
our victory , our humbled hearts,
our tears and our dead
May we always be mindful and
thankful for the blood that they
shed
And what do we, who are left
on earth, do with our grief, deep
sorrows and our sin?
Call upon Jesus…..and give
them to Him.
